
Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) is a European Union regulation dating from 18 December 2006. REACH addresses the production and use of chemical substances, and their potential impacts on both human health and the environment. As the aim of improving the protection of human health and the environment against the risks that may result from chemicals and at the same time promoting the competitiveness of the chemical industry in the European Union. This regulation lays down procedures for collecting and evaluating information on the properties and hazards of substances.
